Our Team

Alan Bender – CPA, CEO

Alan is an entrepreneur who also happens to be a CPA. Alan started a small tax and consulting firm as a side-hustle in 2017. He chose to exit the corporate world when he acquired a local tax firm in 2019. Since then, the firm has made two acquisitions in Northwest Arkansas. Alan’s passion is to help clients succeed in their business and career pursuits. When he occasionally takes a break from the office, Alan enjoys spending time with his first love – Melissa – and their two kids. Born and raised in Arkansas, Alan and his family also love to cheer on the Razorbacks and, more recently, the Naturals.

Yolanda Puckett – Office Administrator

Office Administrator- Born on Honolulu, Hawaii, has resided in Arkansas for 12 years with her husband, Ron of 45 years. She has over 50 years of Administrative experience employed with Fortune 500 companies. She focuses on performing with excellence, integrity and customer importance.

Sherrié Hall

Operations Manager- Originally from Tampa, Florida has been in NWA for over 15 years. She comes from the insurance industry and has over 20 years experience in customer service and insurance. She is married to her best friend and has 3 amazing boys. She enjoys being outdoors, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.

Ashley Rogers – Sr. AOS (Accounting Outsourced Services)

Born and raised in Texas, Ashley received her bachelor’s degree from Baylor University. She and her husband moved to NWA 8 years ago and they have two daughters. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys reading and enjoying NWA with her family. Prior to joining Bender CPA & Advisors she worked for Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

Keith Lyons

H Keith Lyons has been a tax professional for 30 years and has taught basic tax theory to aspiring tax professionals for nearly 20 years. He has been in the IRS’s Annual Filing Season Program each year since its inception, meeting or exceeding the educational requirements to do so. In addition to preparing Individual Forms 1040, including Sole Proprietorships, Farms and Rental Income, he also has experience in preparing various entity returns including trusts, partnerships and S-corporations. He also has leveraged the IRS’s Practitioner Priority Service to assist taxpayers with tax resolution issues.He lives in Siloam Springs with his wife, Cindy, on their farm with several cattle, two dogs and a donkey and is a loving father and devoted grandfather.
